Old Houses

I love looking at old houses. Here in the Old Dominion, we have plenty of old houses. Walking down the street in Alexandria, the sidewalk gets lit from old street lights and the light from the tall Victorian windows. Honestly, some of the houses are so huge that I have no idea how one family could use all the space. Who knows, with the cost of housing, perhaps they rent? But it is enchanting to walk by the houses with their tall windows, the broad porches with stairs winding up to old wicker furniture. Just enchanting. It almost seems a shame to get into a modern conveyance like a car to drive away. Horses are much more in tune. Until then, peace
