Merci Mercy

Meet Cleo -- the three legged wonder dog. Sweetness personified. As I reflect on the wonder of her situation, I am struck by the word, Mercy. Mercy is a quality much sought after by those who need forgiveness. Merci is French for thank-you. I thought of those as I drove 3 crates of cats, a 3 legged dog and a very sweet dog of uncertain parentage. These animals not only have been given mercy by the rescuers, they are givers of mercy to all who work with them. I come away from every animal run with a sense of humility and thankfulness that I am there for the animals and for the other drivers. Merci, merci, to all who give mercy.
