Life in Rescue Last Night

Tension, unknown, lots of delays caused by accidents in Georgia, drivers who didn't show, drivers who got lost and then add in dogs. Last night's run which was supposed to start at 5 finally got on the road at 8 pm. And then driving was not just to the stop point between D.C. and Baltimore moved 40 miles up the road through the Harbor Tunnel. It was wonderful and filled with love for the animals and comaderie with the drivers. No pictures yet. I got 4 of the 7 dwarves to drive. These were seven (six week old) St. Bernard puppies. They were exhausted from the drive up, tuckered out tufts of fur. We showered them with water to cool them off and then set off on the run. They were much better at the next stop, running up to the other people, drinking water and generally being puppies. And I learned how to fold down the back seat in my car to make it bigger and hold more crates as well. Small miracles. Here is a video link one of the drivers created. Amazing. One of the new drivers, Tiffany, created this video montage. I am officially in awe......

For now, peace and I will post pictures later.
